Tomato Dill Soup

Easy to make version that far exceeds plain tomato soup.
8 servings
[1] 3/4 cup margarine
[2] 3/4 cup finely chopped white onion
[3] 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
[4] 7 cups V8 vegetable juice
[5] 4 cups water
[6] 1 1/2 tablespoons dried dill weed
[7] 1 1/2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
[8] 1/4 teaspoon Tabasco sauce
1. Cook onions in margarine until translucent.
2. Add flour and cook until all onion is coated and margarine is absorbed.
3. Add remaining ingredients and stir.
4. Simmer for at least 1 and 1/2 hours.

Serve with crackers or bread. Place a small dollop of sour cream in center of each bowl if desired.
